TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY

The Dalva laboratory builds tools and technology to explore synaptic function and neuronal development. We have recently developed a genetically encoded reporter of tyrosine kinase activity. This tool enables the visualization of increases and decreases in kinase activity. The movie shows EphB kinase activity in a filopodia as it contacts an axon (cyan) and is from Mao et al., 2018. The movie repeats and the images were taken one minute apart.
